Alleyroads founded as a black-owned property development company initially specialising in affordable rental housing solutions
2010
Funding obtained for first development in Kempton Park, Johannesburg.
2012
Alleyroads expands into KZN to develop 201 units.
2014 - 2015
Alleyroads expands into Limpopo, North-West Province and Mpumalanga to develop 574 units with a possible growth to 1000 units.
2020
Alleyroads concludes first equity funding agreement with Vantage Capital of R84 million, accelerating the portfolio value unlock.
2022
Alleyroads recognised as an IFC EDGE* champion, having registered more than 4048 units across South Africa as EDGE compliant.
Alleyroads secures R325 million investment from the IFC towards its strategy of building over 5000 affordable rental housing units in the Johannesburg area.

Alleyroads expands on its core business of affordable residential rental housing and green spaces to unlock cross-purpose opportunities including township and/or precinct development through AR Retail & Industrial.
2023
Alleyroads launches AR GreenTech to provide infrastructure for efficient and enhanced developments and commenced with the Riverstone Mall Shopping Centre in Meyerton.
2023
Alleyroads secures the Pulse Residential Portfolio at R1.2 billion consisting of 3200 units & commenced with the R400 million Meyerton Shopping Centre development.
